Polyester Rope is manufactured from Polyester fibre, the second strongest of conventional man-made fibres behind Nylon. This rope has good strength, easy handling, coiling and knotting along with excellent abrasion resistance. Polyester Rope is ideally suited to a wide range of general and industrial applications, including safety lines in the Height Safety sector.
8 strand (Sqr Plait) constructions are mainly used in mooring applications due to their large size, high strength and torsion resistant properties under load. See Shipping section for 8 strand range.

Strong and weather-resistant polyester ropes
B-Line Rope & Recovery Supplies provides premium polyester ropes built for tough marine, industrial and outdoor conditions. Engineered for superior resistance to UV, moisture and abrasion, our polyester ropes are ideal for applications such as theatrical rigging, mooring/docking, slings, lifelines, safety lines and more.
Why choose polyester rope
Polyester rope is a reliable choice for demanding applications where strength, stability and weather resistance are essential. Here’s why it stands out:
- High strength — Polyester has exceptional tensile strength, making it ideal for heavy-duty applications.
- Low stretch — Unlike nylon, polyester has minimal elasticity, providing stability and control when securing loads.
- UV and abrasion resistance — With outstanding resistance to sunlight, moisture and wear, polyester ropes maintain their integrity in extreme environments.
- Long-lasting durability — Designed to withstand constant exposure to the elements, polyester ropes offer reliability for long-term use.
Common uses for polyester rope
Thanks to its strength, low stretch and weather resistance, polyester rope is widely used across various industries and applications.
- Marine and boating — Polyester rope is ideal for dock lines, rigging and other marine applications because of its high strength and resistance to water and UV rays.
- Construction and industrial — This rope is commonly used for lifting, securing and general utility work where minimal stretch is required to maintain stability.
- Transport and towing — With its excellent strength and low stretch, polyester rope provides stability for securing cargo and other heavy loads in transit.
- Outdoor and recreational — Polyester rope is a great choice for camping, climbing and general outdoor use, offering durability, a soft feel and easy handling for secure knotting.
